Five steps, in writing

From form to forklift.

Step 01

You send the form.

Quantity, grade you're thinking about, zip code for delivery. Anything you know about the use case helps us quote accurately.

Step 02

We send a quote.

Per-unit price by grade, freight estimate, lead time, and notes on what we have in inventory right now versus what we'd source. Same business day in most cases.

Step 03

You confirm by email.

Reply with the grade and quantity you want. Tell us if you need food-grade wash records, photos, or a specific pallet type.

Step 04

We pull, photo, and stage.

The actual units get pulled, inspected, and photographed. You see the pallet before it ships — no stock images, ever.

Step 05

Pay and ship.

Pay by ACH, card, check, or open account if established. We schedule freight, send tracking, and you have totes in three to seven business days for most U.S. addresses.

The grade ladder

What the grades actually mean (and what they cost).

Every tote on the yard sits at one of five grades. The grade ladder is how we price honestly: instead of one "used IBC" price that hides quality, we tell you which grade you're buying and what to expect from it. Prices below are ballpark, not quotes — actual numbers depend on inventory the day you write.

Sample landed quotes

These are sanitized examples of actual quotes we've sent in the last six months. Yours will differ — fuel moves, inventory moves, routing changes — but this is the shape of the math.

Payment options

How customers actually pay us.

ACH

No fee. Settles in 1–2 business days. Wire details on the invoice.

Check

Old school, fine

Mail or hand-deliver. Totes ship on receipt or on a verbal good-funds from your bank.

Card

Visa / MC / Amex

3% surcharge passed through at cost. Stripe link emailed.

Net terms

Net-15 / Net-30

Available after the first two completed orders. Standard W-9 / credit-app exchange.

Freight options

How the totes get to you.

  • LTL on common carrier. Best for 1–10 totes. Damage risk is real; we crate or pallet-wrap.
  • Partial truckload. 11–22 totes on a shared 53' van. Cheaper per unit than LTL.
  • Full truckload — owned. 24–80 totes on one of our trailers. Best damage outcomes, see transportation.
  • Full truckload — partner. Vetted carriers for runs outside our weekly core.
  • Customer pickup. Yard pickup in Columbia, MO. Bring a strapped trailer and a forklift-capable receiver.
  • Cross-dock. We'll stage at a partner dock if you have your own carrier inbound.
Landed quote, always

You see one number.

We don't quote totes "plus freight TBD." The number on your quote is the number on your invoice. If we're wrong on the freight, we eat it — and if a fuel surcharge moves, we absorb it within the quote validity window (typically 14 days).

Receiving checklist

What to do when the truck shows up.

  1. Count the totes against the BOL before the driver leaves. Photograph the load on the trailer.
  2. Walk around the pallet. Note any cage dents, valve damage, or shifted units on the BOL.
  3. Pop one valve cap. Confirm the cage tag matches what we promised by grade and prior contents.
  4. Check the wash record (food-grade orders only). A wash record is filed by batch and accompanies the order — paper or PDF.
  5. Sign clean only if it's clean. If something's wrong, note it on the BOL before the driver leaves. We handle the rest.
  6. Email the yard within 48 hours if anything is off. We replace, refund, or credit — your call.
Who buys from us most

Customer types & the grades they tend to want.

Co-packers

Food-grade, mostly

Cycle-clean totes between SKUs. Often pair with reconditioning on owned fleet.

Liquid fertilizer

Industrial reconditioned

Seasonal volume. 40–120 totes per delivery in spring; smaller during the off-season.

Breweries

Food-grade, small lots

3–8 totes per order. Wort, syrup, sanitizer.

Ag retailers

Industrial & rinsed used

Resold to growers, often with our wash records attached.

Schools / nonprofits

Project & cut grade

Garden builds, water storage. Bundle with fabrication.

Municipal / utility

Industrial & rinsed

Water hauling, brine, sludge transport, emergency response staging.

After the totes arrive

Post-delivery support, in plain English.

Once the totes land, we don't disappear. The wash record stays on file with us for seven years. If your auditor or buyer asks for it eighteen months later, we can pull it.

If a tote fails in service inside 90 days — cracked bottle, blown valve we installed, cage weld separation — we replace it. Send a photo, the cage serial, and a paragraph describing what happened. We don't demand return of the failed unit before sending the replacement; we'll pick up the failed one on the next route through your area.

If you need additional copies of paperwork — BOL, photo set, batch certificate — those are free, forever. The only thing we'll ever charge for after the sale is a second physical delivery, and even that we'll usually route into existing freight to keep the cost down.

Buying FAQ

Stuff we get asked before the first quote.

Can I see the actual tote before I pay?
Yes. Once we've agreed on a grade and quantity, we pull the pallet, photograph it (multiple angles, cage tags visible), and email the set before we charge or ship. If the photos aren't what you expected, you can walk away — no restocking fee.
What was in these totes before?
We disclose every prior content we know — and we don't buy from sellers who can't tell us. Food-grade reconditioned units carry only prior food, beverage, or food-adjacent contents; we keep the chain documented. Industrial units come with the prior-contents declaration we received from the seller, written out by name where we have it.
Do you sell stainless IBCs?
Occasionally — a handful at any given time, usually 304 or 316 series. Stainless trades at a premium and moves on a different cycle than composite. Email us; if we have one on the yard that fits, we'll quote it.
Can I pick up at the yard instead of shipping?
Absolutely. Yard pickup in Columbia, MO is Monday–Friday by appointment. Bring a strapped flatbed or van, a forklift if you're loading more than 8 totes, and your own straps. We'll help, but you sign for the load when it leaves.
What's the return policy?
If you note an issue on the BOL at delivery or within 48 hours, we replace, refund, or credit — your call, no restocking fee. After 48 hours, defects covered by the 90-day failure-in-service policy still apply. Buyer's remorse after 48 hours is a return-freight conversation.
Do you do international?
Rarely, and only as a buyer-arranged-freight situation. We'll deliver to a US-based forwarder of your choosing; export paperwork is your scope.
Can I get a quote without giving you my whole company history?
Yes. For a first quote we need: quantity, grade or use case, delivery zip, and a contact email. We don't require a company name, tax forms, or anything else until we're writing an invoice.
What if I need totes faster than your lead time?
Tell us the deadline. Sometimes we can swap a unit from a later order, sometimes we can pull from a partner's inventory and freight in, sometimes we can't. We'll tell you straight either way.
Ready to write the email?

Quantity, grade, zip. That's it.

We'll reply with a real quote, often the same day. If you need to see inventory first, ask — we'll send photos of what's on the yard.
